Anzeige//We have all admired an over-the-knee boots look at some point. And we have all thought that this strong element was not meant for us but for the rest of the women. We admire it on others but do not dare wear it ourselves.
If worn right, over the knee boots add a strong character to the overall outfit and they can suit every woman. It is a rather misunderstood item. To be honest, I think that a pair should exist in every closet!
Worn all day long, they can be impressive with a midi dress or skirt, an oversized sweater, a chunky pullover, skinny jeans, leggings and cardigans and so on so forth.
The classy version is black with heels. Easily worn at the office or for a cocktail, at night. For a bolder statement wear them with bare legs. No tights, ladies.
If you belong to that category of women who want to dress for success, choose a bold red, burgundy or purple colour and match them with an oversized monochrome shirt. Keep the bare skin minimum. No more than 15- 20cms long.
A great alternative is the midi skirt in A or straight line. A small slit on the front is feminine by leaving the legs slightly exposed.
These boots are also very useful in winter. Warm and protective, they are a great choice on a cold day.
In the pictures below you can see that I wore a pair of high-heels, over the knee boots with black leggings. My black, striped blouse has a bit of lace lower down which pleasantly matches the golden seams of my blazer.
Accessories are kept in a similar hue but not matched in style. This, I believe, makes the outfit more particular.
Comments are so welcome!
