Anzeige//It is considered the necessary piece in every wardrobe. Rightfully so. Because with it, we are always well dressed.
First of all, you can wear it from morning till night and it will also be your great supporter for covering up those extra pounds or those little imperfections. This is why most women adore it.
It is the core of an outfit, too and much easier when it comes to pairing. A skirt or a pair of trousers ask for a blouse or shirt, while the black dress will decently stand on its own. Therefore, in most events, social gatherings, weddings, or parties more than 50% of the guests go for a black dress.
First, it was Coco Chanel that introduced it in the fashion world, in 1926. Until then it was worn by widows. That’s why Chanel is considered to have started a revolution.
You will certainly find numerous stylistic approaches for it, in the social media. You will come across its short, long, girly, sexy, romantic or classy version.
Each and every one of these approaches has a completely unique identity.
The girly version is usually short with a frill or not. Sexy, is line A or bodycon. Romantic, is long or short embroidered or with lace. The classy version is midi and pencil shaped.
The character of the dress is defined by the design as well as the fabric. Lace or organza, satin or silk, jersey or poplin, it’s beauty is unquestionable and the right time to wear it? All day long!
To make it occasion-perfect, match it either with sneakers, flats, oxfords, high heel sandals, stilettos, ankle boots or Over the Knee boots.
I chose a sleeveless, black dress in classy shape for today’s outfit.
It is 10 years old and I have decided to take it for recycling after this presentation.
My professional career was relevant with fashion and this taught me to always take some pieces to recycling and replace them with new.
I am for the capsule wardrobe. That’s why in some articles I refer to the must haves.
In a future article I will recap all about these pieces, since Spring is really close and Winter will soon belong to the past.
What is worth noticing is that, this specific black dress have been worn as a business outfit, a daily outfit, a night outfit etc. It has proven a gem in every of these occasions.
This time, I have decided to wear it with a black shirt, a short black gilet and a black jacket with gold, metallic details. My red boots are perfectly matched with the black outfit and the black details at the back side of my tights emphasize on that.
A black purse and black sunglasses are the finishing touch.
In a black dress a woman is never overdressed or underdressed. She is never more or less formally dressed than needed.
